Ready for Santa!

Today we had a very busy day preparing for Santa! Jackson and I made some very yummy cookies for Santa, as well as some treats for the reindeer!  My little guy is such a big help in the kitchen, I am certain we have the next Bobby Flay on our hands! Only one more day until Santa Arrives!

After our marathon treat making we headed to church for the Christmas Eve service. Always one of my favorite services :)

It is officially Christmas time! The Christmas lights are out and the Christmas lights are up! Easily my favorite time of year.. I am especially excited to see Jackson this year :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

So so many things to be thankful for this year. Every day that I spend with my husband and son makes me realize how truly blessed I am to have them in my life.. I am thankful everyday, not just today..

Today we celebrated another delicious Thanksgiving with the Arnolds! Hunter's Sister, Brother, Grandmother and nieces came into town to celebrate the holiday. We had a great day playing games, eating and napping.

I can't even count how many times I did this yesterday.. But if it makes my little guy happy I will do it a million more times :)

Can't Believe My Baby is 2!!

Somebody pinch me! Jackson is officially 2! He is so full of life and has quite the little personality.. I just love watching this little guy grow up..

It's Jackson's Birthday! Say Cheers!

Today we celebrated Jackson's Birthday! It was quite the little party.. Jackson just loves Mickey Mouse these days so it only seemed right to have a Mickey party complete with a bounce house. That was quite the hit.. with adults and kids :)

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to visit the pumpkin patch! There is a great one near our house with hay rides, bounce houses a maze, slides, games and a petting zoo. Jackson had a great time picking out his pumpkin and enjoying the fun things to do!

Water Baby!

It’s no secret that Lil J, is quite the water baby. This summer he has had a blast swimming in the pool. We started swim lessons about 5 weeks ago, but J would much prefer to swim around the pool In his swimmy than be told what to do in a lesson (stubborn J) He is jumping in all on his own and swimming to the edge.. he has no fear of the water at all (which can be a good and bad thing)

So That’s Where the Keys Go!

It really is amazing the things that our children pick up from us. Especially when you think they aren’t paying attention. Jackson said “mommy Keys!” and before I know it he is putting the car key in the ignition of his little red car. Such a smart cookie :)

Summer Days

Today Jackson had a bunch of his little friends over for a play date! They all had a great time playing in the kiddie pools, sprinkler and eating popsicles. The mommies and Daddies had a great time catching up while all the kiddos played!

21 months!

Our little guy has quite the little personality these days! Jackson is just so full of laughs and character. He also can be quite stubborn when he wants to. (I can’t imagine where he got that from!?!) Jackson is now starting to put words together to try and make sentences. Jackson can say things like, Mommy no!, mommy bye bye, mommy stop!, mommy keys, mommy apple juice, me mommy, me juice and shoes on :)

Dislikes: diaper changes, teeth brushing, hair brushing, taking his shoes off (this kid is obsessed with shoes and probably has more than I do :)

Trip to the Mountains

Thank goodness for vacation! We made our annual trip up to the Blue Ridge Mountains for 5 days of relaxation and spending time with family! We left on Tuesday night and spend the night along the way before getting up and making the rest of the trip. Poor Jackson broke out in a fever on the way. He had no other symptoms, so it was the strangest thing. The whole time we were there we were battling a 103 degree fever. For almost 4 days he had it. The only time it would go down was right after Tylenol then it would go right back up again. Quite scary L He still managed to have a good time despite feeling crummy. We went tubing down the Taccoa river, Went White water rafting and found the most beautiful waterfalls. One of then you could actually slide dow

Certainly not this little guy! I'm sure he would be my taste tester anytime.. Let's just say we had less Brownies then batter!

First Night in the "Big Boy" Bed!

Well today was the first day my "baby" slept in the "big boy" bed :( Hunter came upstairs to get Jackson after his nap and found him with one leg out of the crib trying to climb out! Needless to say the toddler bed rails came out!

Play Date with Reagan!

Today Jackson and Reagan had a water play date together :) Jackson also got to meet baby Kennedy.. So sweet!

18 Months!

I tell you what.. This last year and a half has been a blur! It has been one of the most fun and rewarding times in my life. I just love watching Jackson grow and learn new things. Seeing the world through his eyes is such amazing experience. He is learning new words and actions every day, I can barely keep up. At his 18 month Dr. Appt this week he was perfectly healthy and in the 90-95% for height and weight.. what a big boy!

Happy Easter!

This past weekend we had a great time celebrating Easter! My mom (Nanny) came up to visit and we had a great time! Jackson got to partake in like 3 different Easter egg hunts (Which he just loved). Not to mention all the Easter egg baskets he got and all the chocolate he consumed! Holidays are getting to be so much more fun now that Jackson is starting to understand, I'm sure it is only going to get better! I can't wait!

Kiss me I'm Irish!

In honor of St. Pattys day Jackson wants everyone to give him kisses!! But really.. He would get lots of kisses even if he wasen't Irish!
