Pool time with Mommy

This morning Lil J and I had our very own pool date.. Daddy went to a church conference so he was gone all morning. We woke up had breakfast and then went over to the pool. We had it all to ourselves! We splashed around, practiced some kicking and climbed around the stairs. After the pool we just had to have a snack! What better than banana puffs.. Im pretty sure Jackson enjoyed those more than the pool!

Loving Bath time!

My little guy just loves the tub.. Now that we have gotten rid of the baby bath and have graduated to the big tub, he has so much fun! He has tons of toys and loves to splash. He loves to eat his washcloth, throw the toys and splash mommy. What a silly little boy J

Sleeping through the night!

I am proud to say Jackson is finally sleeping through the night! It has been a long 9 1/2 months of sleepless nights, esp when you have to work full time :) Jackson is now going to bed around 8-8:30 and waking up around 6-7.. I am one happy mommy! I still find myself waking up a couple of times out of habit, and of course I have to get up and check on him.. I have to say though, a full nights sleep is quite a treat

Pool Time with Daddy!

I just love the weekends :) Nothing is better than hanging out by the pool with my two favorite boys.. Jackson just loves the water, he was sitting on the side and jumping into Hunter's arms.. He also loved standing up on the steps and walking around the edge. I love my little man!

She said Yes to the Dress!

Phew! We had quite the bust weekend! We drove over to Tallahassee to help Michelle find her wedding dress! Friday night we headed over to Tallahassee and stayed with Pills for the night. Saturday morning we went to David's Bridal had lunch with the bride to be, her mom and the bridesmaids. Of course Jackson and Stella were also there! They were such great sports throughout out the whole dress picking process. Although, I never would have thought there would be so many dangers in a dress shop! Poor Jackson bumped his head and nose about 4 times, whether it was on the floor, mirror chair.. He couldn't catch a break! (literally) I swear he needs a helmet! Considering none of the babies got much of a nap they did great. Even at the second dress shop. Michelle had great success there, She said "Yes to the Dress" Its beautiful, she is going to be a beautiful bride! After the dress shopping we all went to Corner pocket to hang out for a little bit. We headed back to jax shortly after :)

All the babies were so good!

Amazed with the mirror! He was so confused that there were three of him!

Tybee Island- 4th of July Weekend!

We had a great time this past weekend. Went went up to Tybee Island for our annual family vacation. The past two years we have gone to the Blue Ridge Mountains where we stay in a cabin, this year we opted for something different and went to the beach!

Friday- Hunter was able to take the whole day off so he stayed home with Jackson while I went to work for a half day. I got off work around noon, packed up the car and headed up to the beach house. Lucky for us the drive was only 2 1/2 hours (Its about 20 mins away from Savannah) We got there around 4 and had a late lunch at a place called the crab shack. They had amazing food! One of the best parts about being near the beach is the Seafood! After our late lunch we headed to the house to get settled in. Jason (Hunter's brother) his wife Beth and their daughter Lauren arrived shortly after us from Tennessee. Later on in the night Hunter's sister Kelly and her daughter Molly got in.

Saturday- Today we were all beach bums.. and it was great! We had a lazy morning lounging around the house before going down to the beach around 1pm. We set up the canopy so we had some shade for Jackson and the girls. Jackson wasn't a huge fan of the sand or waves. He kept trying to eat the sand! Hunter, Charlie and Jason went to work digging "a hole to China" while us girls got some sun. Boy were those guys ever proud of the hole they dug! After the beach we got all cleaned up and went back to the Crab Shack for dinner (it was that good the first time) then to the Sugar Shack for ice cream! yum!

Sunday- Today we had a relaxing day on the water. We brought Doris and Charlies' boat up with us, which was perfect! We had a great time tubing, wake boarding and watching the tons of dolphins all around us. They were everywhere! Later that night we ventured into Savannah where we walked down River St and had dinner at The Cotton Exchange.Another great meal! Before heading home we went to the fudge/candy shop to load up on some goodies

Monday- Happy 4th of July! Today we went back into Savannah for lunch, we ate a little cafe in the market square and walked around the little shops. We didn't stay down there to long as Jackson was a little cranky since he missed his nap. Back a the house Jackson and Hunter napped while I went to soak up some sun at the beach. As I was laying on the beach I saw two huge manatees about 10-15 from the shore, it was amazing that they were up so close!

Tuesday- Unfortunately today is the day we had to head home.. The weekend went by so fast! Before we left   Jackson and I had a really nice lunch with all the girls in Savannah. We went to a restaurant called "The Olde Pink House" while all the boys went to "Uncle Bubbas"(Paula Dean's brothers restaurant)

 The infamous hole!

Nanny Comes to Visit!

Nanny came to visit us all the way from Key West! She drove up on Wednesday afternoon and stayed all weekend which was so nice :) She of course wanted to watch Jackson while she was here, so he stayed home with her on Thursday Friday instead of going to day care.. He just loved spending some time with her! He was a little grumpy with all his new teeth coming in, but I think they had fun none-the less.. They went to the pool, took naps, went for walks and Nanny even taught him out to bang on the pots and pans as if they were drums (thanks Nanny.. lol) It was so nice having her around to help for a few days, I wish she didst live so far away! Friday night Kristin also came into town from Ft. Lauderdale to visit. We went to Olive Garden for dinner, which was delicious as always, Jackson had his first taste of a breadstick and absolutely loved it! Saturday we hung out by the pool and went for a boat ride over at Doris and Charlies. We even got Nanny and Grammy to go on the tube! Sunday was a lazy day, we went to church and lunch, took Jackson home for a nap and Nanny and I went to the Towne Center to do a little shopping :) Unfortunately, Monday rolled around and they all had to leave and we had to go back to work :( At least we had a great weekend together!

A Month Full of Firsts!

Jackson’s 7th month has been quite a big month of firsts! He has learned how to army crawl, go from laying down on his belly to sitting up and back down again, he got his first tooth, starting sleeping in his own room, tried real food, attempted to drink out of a sippy cup, learned how to hold his bottle all by himself, pull himself from sitting to standing on the ottoman, and took a bath in the big bath tub!

First time using a sippy cup!

Spending the night in my room for the first time!

I can pull myself up on things now!

Loving the big bath tub!

A Mouth Full of Teeth!

It has been one week since Jackson got his first tooth on the top right of his mouth! Since then his bottom two have appeared! Three teeth in less than a week! Phew! Last night Jackson let us know that he was feeling the pain L He was pretty grumpy, poor little guy just wanted to be held. Anytime he was put down on the floor he just cried and cried. Finally some Tylenol and baby orajel did the trick. Low and behold I look in this mouth this morning and the two bottoms had cut through!

Fun Filled Weekend!

What a weekend, this past weekend we had a great time with some of our friends who came into town from Tallahassee. Friday night we all went to dinner, we were out a little past Jackson’s bed time and he definitely let us know. He got a little grumpy so we went home a little early. He did get to see his little friend Stella for a little while though!
On Saturday we all went to our favorite breakfast place, Metro Diner! Yum! Afterwards we went and hung out by Doris and Charlie’s Pool! Jackson and Stella had a great time splashing and floating around in the pool J

Sunday was quite a busy day! We went to breakfast at Mimi’s then took the little kids to the Zoo! It was quite hot but the kiddos seemed to like it regardless! It was Stella’s first time visiting the Zoo, Jackson showed her around to all his favorite spots! After the Zoo we went to the mall where we Jackson and Stella made their first Build-a-Bear, Jackson made a puppy named Deville, who he dressed as a Jacksonville Jaguars player! While at the mall Stella got her ears pierced! She was so brave! I’m sure Jackson was thankful he wasn’t a girl at that moment! After such a long day the little ones were pooped! Early bed time for them!
