This past weekend we went over to Tallahassee to see Gina’s trial run for her hair and make up and to work on stuff for her bridal shower! Jackson was great on the car ride, he slept the whole time. When we got there he was a little fussy but loved seeing his friend Stella! It is so cute to see them together. I just can’t believe how much bigger he is than her, esp since they are 6 weeks apart. Jackson sure is a big boy! They loved lying on the floor and playing together. Tummy time is much more fun with a friend!
Welcome to our Blog! Hunter and I are thrilled to start out our adventure in parenthood! Jackson Charles Arnold joined us on October 10, 2010

First time eating real food!
Well.. if you consider rice cereal real food.. lol.. What an experience! Jackson wasn’t to sure about the rice cereal at first. I couldn’t blame him it did not look very appetizing. Lol.. At first he just pushed the cereal around in his mouth and then spat it out. After a couple of tries I think he got the hang of it. Update: we have tried the rice cereal a few times now mixed with a little bit of banana baby food… He loves it! The bananas made a huge difference J We are still working on getting more food in the mouth than on the bib though!

Mommy’s Birthday!
I must say I had one of the greatest birthdays this year. Not only did I get to spend it with my wonderful husband, but with my beautiful baby boy also J I received flowers at work from Hunter and then another bouquet from my mom, brother and Katelyn. I felt so special! I got home to an amazing dinner of lobster mac n’ cheese, chicken with portabello mushrooms, asparagus and cheese biscuits! YUM! Not to mention the cookie cake I got for dessert. And last but not least the birthday candy apple from Reid and Elyssa! One of the best parts of the day was getting a birthday card from Jackson, signed with a stamp of his foot J Apparently he did not like his foot colored with bright red ink!

First day of Day Care :(
Today was Jacksons first day of day care and my first day back at work. It was a sad day for me! We got to Jackson's day care quite a bit early so I could set him up in his crib and make sure he was all settled in. Luckily Hunter went with me cause I was a blubbering idiot! Jackson was cool as a cucumber, watching all the other kids and making new friends. The whole experience was definitely harder for me then it was for him.. I was able to go and see him at lunch which was great, I was so relieved to see that he had a good day thus far and everyone loved him! Thank goodness the rest of the day went by fast! In the end both of our first days were a success..
So happy to see Mommy at lunch time!

Trip to the Zoo!
Jackson, Gina and I went to the Zoo today for Jackson’s first trip.. I think he liked it! I walked around with him in his baby Bjorn and he just started at all the different animals.. He is going to be just like his mama with her love for animals :) It was a great way to spend my last day before going back to work
Had a great day at the zoo!
Feeding the Giraffes! What a long tongue!

Trip to the Aquarium!
Jackson, Elyssa and I went to the Georgia Aquarium today! Such a fun experience and a perfect thing to do on a rainy afternoon. We walked around and saw all the exhibits which were amazing! I think Jackson liked the beluga whales the best. He just stared at them as they swum around. After the Aquarium we ventured back to Elyssa and Reid’s house where we dropped off Jackson for some boy time while Elyssa and I went and got a much need mani/pedi! That night we ordered dinner in and watched some football. Perfect day!
Watching the whales
so pretty!

Trip to Atlanta- New Years Eve and Chil fila bowl-
For Christmas this year Jackson and I got Hunter a ticket to the Chik-fil-a bowl game where FSU would be playing! It worked out perfect since we have friends in Atlanta and a bunch of our tailgating buddies were going to the game also! Hunter had to work and then Tennessee was playing their bowl game so we decided to leave after the game was over.. Little did we know the game would go into overtime and we would end up leaving for Atlanta at 11pm! Hunter drove the whole way while Jackson and I slept ( he is too good to us) we finally got there around 4:30am.. What a long night! The next morning we got up went to breakfast with Elyssa and then got ready to go tailgating. We dressed Jackson up in his FSU gear and headed over to the Georgia dome where we tailgated. We stayed out there for a few hours before it got to chilly for Jackson! Jackson and I left and went back to Reid and Elyssa’s where we watched the game in the warmth! We went to bed early but made sure to wake up and kiss my little guy at midnight J Hunter had a great time at the game.. and FSU won which was even better!

First Christmas and Meeting Uncle Thomas!
Jackson has a pretty great Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to church where Jackson got to sit in the big church with us for the first time. He loved the music and the bright colors! After church we had a great dinner and opened presents! We all went to bed early in anticipation of Santa coming the next day! Christmas Morning we all woke up, opened presents then went over to Grammy and Grandaddy’s house for Christmas morning breakfast.. It was so yummy! That afternoon Reid and Elyssa came over to the house to meet Jackson for the first time J We spent the afternoon visiting and playing kinect. Later in the day I began preparing to cook my first Christmas dinner! We had all the fixins’ and Hunter even fried a turkey! Thomas and Katelyn drove up to Jacksonville to have dinner with us and spend a few days. It was so cute to see Jackson with his Uncle Thomas :)

And Off We Go Again..
Jackson is quite the little traveler! After only being home from the Keys for a day. We turned right around and hopped on a plane to Michigan for his Great Grandpa’s Christmas party! He did wonderful! This time Hunter, Grammy and Grandaddy were with me so I had some help! So nice when my arms start to fall asleep while I am holding him! He slept most of the take offs and landings and overall did a great job flying. Once we got to MI we went and saw some of the family staying at Grandpa’s. It was so cold! And boy, was there a lot of snow! We had dinner and starting cooking some of our goodies for the next days festivities. After dinner we headed over to Hunter’s cousin’s house. Jessica was so great for letting us stay at her house! She has a little girl (Leah) who is 10 months. It was so nice not to have to lug all the baby stuff with us! She had it all, what a relief! On Saturday we spent most of the day over at Grandpa’s where there were about 45 relatives! Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandkids… you name them and they were there! It was so nice to see everyone and Jackson got to meet so many of his extended family. He was a hit.. Everyone just loved him J We had a huge big dinner and afterwards visited with everyone before going back to Jessica's. On Sunday we had left overs for lunch before leaving for the airport. Back to Florida we go
Just before taking off! He loves airplanes
SO much snow!
